Exciting progress is underway at the future Gateway to Innovation (G2i) campus in Pickens. This new facility, located on the former Pickens Middle School site, will be the first model of its kind in South Carolina. G2i will serve students in grades 3–12, giving young learners early exposure to hands-on learning and advanced pathways while continuing high-quality Career & Technical Education opportunities for older students.
In the evenings, community members can participate in expanded workforce training, and the campus will also offer affordable on-site childcare for employees of the School District of Pickens County.
This transformational project is being brought to life through a strong partnership between Goodwyn Mills Cawood, providing architecture, interior design, and civil engineering services, and Triangle Construction Company, Inc., serving as the general contractor. Their combined expertise is shaping the Dr. Mendel Stewart Campus into a space that will benefit students, families, and local industries for years to come.
