3K Registration - A child who is 3 years old on or before September 1 may register for three-year-old kindergarten.
The School District of Pickens County offers full day needs-based 3-year-old kindergarten programs. After initial enrollment, students must meet eligibility requirements to participate in a program. For more information on the requirements, please continue to read the sections below.
Three-year-old kindergarten programs are offered in the following areas of the district:
Daniel Area: Six Mile Elementary
Easley Area: Crosswell Elementary and East End Elementary
Liberty Area: Liberty Primary
Pickens Area: Dacusville Elementary and Hagood Elementary
Before you Begin...
Attention Parents/Guardians: Registration for 3K opens January 11, 2024. If you have completed any form prior to January 11, 2024 it will be incomplete.
Will your child be 3 years old on or before September 1?
A child who is 3 years old on or before September 1 may register for three-year-old kindergarten.
What school is my child zoned to attend?
Click below to view the attendance zone for your child. Parents may apply for student admission to a school outside of their attendance zone, however, school choice to 3K programs is very limited and requests are handled at the screening appointment.
What documents are required for registration?
At a glance, you will need:
Your child's state-issued birth certificate
Your child's immunization records.
Proof of Residence
Current electricity, gas, water or cable/satellite bill showing service address in name of parent/guardian.
Income documentation
W2 or Medicaid card
What questions will I be asked during the registration process?
SDPC partners with FinalForms to complete the registration process online. During the process you will be asked to fill out various information about your child. Examples include:
Medical needs of the student (Allergies, medications, etc.)

Registration Process
To enroll in SDPC, a student must reside in Pickens County with his or her parent or legal guardian. The following documents are required for registration and may be uploaded during the online registration process:
Proof of Residence
Proof of Residence is a current electricity, gas, water, or cable/satellite bill showing the services address in the name of the parent/guardian. If a bill in the name of the parent/guardian is not available, a required Affidavit of Residence can be completed during the screening appointment
Birth Certificate
A copy of your child's state-issued birth certificate (rather than hospital birth certificate) is required.
South Carolina Proof of Immunization
A valid South Carolina Certificate of Immunization signed or stamped by a South Carolina State licensed health care provider. It may be faxed directly from the physician's office to the school, if more convenient.
Family Income Eligibility
Acceptable forms of income verification include:
Pay stubs, tax returns, or W-2 forms
Current Medicaid Card
**All qualifying 3K students must provide all required enrollment documentation by the first day of school. If documentation is not provided the reserved spot may be given to the next child on the waiting list.
Online Registration
Parents will use FinalForms to complete the online registration process. Once FinalForms information is completed and required documents uploaded, parents will receive a contact from the school to verify enrollment and information to sign up for a screening appointment at their zoned school.
Screening Process
After completing the FinalForms enrollment process and uploading documents, all information will be reviewed and verified. Parents/Guardians will receive information to sign up for a screening appointment at their zoned school.
During the screening:
DIAL-4 tests will be used to assess a child's motor skills (skipping, jumping, cutting, writing), conceptual skills (knowledge of colors, counting), and language skills (knowledge of letters and words, ability to solve problems). In addition, the Parent and Teacher Questionnaires measure a child's self-help skills (dressing, feeding, bathing) and social-emotional skills (getting along with others, staying on task).
Eligibility Notification
In late spring, parents will receive a letter informing them if their child qualifies and will be enrolled in a program, has been placed on a waiting list, or does not qualify.
School Choice
Parents/Guardians may apply for student admission to a school outside of their area of residence. School Choice to 3K and 4K programs is very limited and requests are handled at the screening appointment.

A link will be emailed to sign up for a screening appointment once all documents and information is verified.
